The problem of climate change has already triggered species distribution shifts in many parts of the world. Researches show that increasing impacts are expected for the future, yet few studies have aimed for a general understanding of the regional basis for species vulnerability in the African continent in general, and Cameroon in particular. Application of the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources Red List criteria to the projections shows that many Cameroonian plant species could become severely threatened. Some important species could be vulnerable or threatened by 2025. Despite the coarse scale of the analysis, species around the Cameroonian Mountain in the city of Buea could be seen to be disproportionably sensitive to climate change. The coastal South West region was projected to experience the extension of few species.
