2. Two goats were making their way over a narrow path on the mountains. One was
ascending the trial, the other descending.
Deux chèvres avançaient le long d’un étroit sentier de montagne. L’une montait,
l’autre descendait.

3. The goats had to pass at a point
where the trail was so narrow that
there was room for only one goat.
Toutes deux devaient passer par un
endroit où le sentier se rétrécissait
encore, au point qu’une seule aurait
la place de passer.
The animals rounded a turn in the
path which brought them in full view
of each other. They backed up, as
though ready for a lunge, and then the
most amazing thing happened!
Les chèvres amorcèrent un coude du
chemin et se trouvèrent soudain face à
face. Instinctivement, elles reculèrent,
comme si elles allaient bondir l’une
sur l’autre. Mais il se passa quelque
chose de très surprenant.

4. The goat on the trail below laid
down in the path, while the goat
above him walked over his back.
La chèvre qui se trouvait en
contrebas se coucha en travers du
sentier, tandis que l’autre, celle
qui descendait, lui passa sur le
dos.
The first animal then
arose and continued his
journey up the trail.
Puis la première se releva
et poursuivit son
ascension.

5. Arguing and fighting don’t help to sort out problems. They usually only make
you more angry and upset at each other. Try love and thoughtfulness instead,
and you’ll see how much better things work.
Les disputes n’apportent pas de solution aux problèmes. Elles ne font
qu’envenimer les choses. Essaie plutôt de penser aux autres et de les
comprendre. Tu verras que ça marche beaucoup mieux.
