My site BreakingNewsEnglish has been nominated for a British Council ELTons award in the category
“Innovation in Learner Resources”. There are six nominees.
For the past few days, my head has been buzzing with excitement, plans, thank you mails, and wonderment over
whether to buy a new tie or go with my favorite one – the one with the Japanese cartoon character Doraemon on
it.
It is by far the biggest highlight of my 25­year career in ELT. I wrote earlier online that I’m not only over the Moon, but also over

the stars, Sun and far distant galaxies.
I am so happy to be on the shortlist for an ELTon. I now think I have a good idea of what’s on the mind of a Hollywood actor
before the Oscars, except for the decision to buy the 32­bedroom mansion in Malibu or Bermuda. I’m happy with my 3­bedroom
house at the top of a mountain in Japan."

Teacher and administrators all over the world are doing amazing things, but some of the things we are still doing,
despite all the new solutions, research and ideas out there is, to put it mildly, incredible.
I’m not saying we should just make the current system better… we should change it into something else.

Plugin (mit dem es in letzter Zeit allerdings erhebliche Probleme bezüglich Java gegeben hat). Ein weitaus mächtigeres Plugin­

"Es más que comprensible que existan dudas en la comunidad educativa respecto a los teléfonos móviles en el aula. Las
consecuencias de la falta de conocimiento de estos dispositivos y su manejo responsable pueden conllevar un nefasto uso de
los mismos y su utilización en situaciones inadecuadas.
Por ello, muchos centros optan por prohibirlos y no permitir que los niños los lleven a clase, algo que choca con la realidad, en

¿Qué significa “Flip the Classroom”?
"Literalmente, significa “dar la vuelta a la clase”. Si uno piensa en una clase, piensa también en una estructura determinada:
profesor hablando y alumnos escuchando y tomando apuntes. Además, en la mayoría de casos, el profesor propone
determinados deberes y ejercicios prácticos para realizar en casa, fuera del aula. Con Flip the Classroom se trata de invertir
completamente esta estructura. Vamos a ver cómo:
­ La teoría la trabaja el alumno en casa. Es decir, el profesor facilita el contenido de la materia que se está trabajando. Y el
alumno, en casa, la estudia, la analiza y la trabaja.
­ Se supone que, cuando el alumno vuelve a clase, ya ha preparado el material y conoce la teoría.
­ El profesor propone los deberes y ejercicios prácticos en el aula en forma de problemas concretos.
­ Estos ejercicios se realizan en clase y entre todos, resolviendo dudas y repasando la teoría."

La narración en digital nos permite utilizar nuevos formatos como vídeos, imágenes en movimiento, podcasts o la creación de
libros electrónicos multimedia para transmitir una historia que apelen a nuestro aprendizaje sensorial y visual.
Realizar productos a medida, con nuevas dinámicas. Las Internet nos permiten que nuestras historias lleguen a más personas y

en cómo crear nuestro examen sino también en cómo corregirlo de una manera rápida y sencilla.

De esta manera, podemos seguir apoyándonos en el cuaderno de trabajo del alumno para poder resolver los deberes, y utilizar
la tablet como medio para establecer un flujo de trabajo alumno-profesor del tipo "paperless" o "sin papel".
En el día de hoy, vamos a poner un caso concreto: Queremos mandar unos ejercicios de matemáticas a nuestros alumnos.
¿Cómo sería el proceso si disponemos tanto profesores como alumnos de un dispositivo móvil?"
