This document lists the simple materials needed to conduct an experiment: a microwave oven, two coffee mugs, three pieces of graphite pencil lead, a few drops of olive oil, and a 5-inch piece of 100% cotton thread. The hardest item to find was the cotton thread, as 100% cotton thread is surprisingly scarce, and the author had to use some old black thread from the 1970s that was located after searching through sewing supplies.

This document describes an experiment to determine if caffeine from coffee stunts growth during puberty. The experiment will involve 300 children ages 10-16 from Pennsylvania, split evenly into male and female groups. Each group will be randomly assigned to drink no coffee (control), decaffeinated coffee, or regular caffeinated coffee daily for 10 years. Their height will be measured each year, and any differences in growth across the treatment groups within each gender will indicate whether or not caffeine affects height. Blocking the sample by gender and randomly assigning treatments will help control for other factors and allow conclusions to be drawn about the general population.

NOTE DE CONJONCTURE SUR LA COMPETITIVITE DE LA FILIERE COTON AU BURKINA FASOHamadou KABORE
- des modes de culture ;
- des modes d’organisation ;
- des coûts de transport ;
- de la concurrence des fibres synthétiques ;
- de la concurrence par rapport aux autres cotons de la zone ;
