This series, Grimm, has little to do with the Grimm Brothers, except the name. The stories are not the Grimm Brothers’ fairy tales, mostly bad fairies, actually. The good ones are just the cleaning ladies of the mess created by the bad ones. But these Grimms, and in the plural mind you, are rooted into the old Templar order of the Crusades who would have seized and brought back some “magic” and “powerful” staff from Constantinople or around, a staff that looks a lot like Moses’ staff. But the whole series turns around humanity being a composite meta-species with plain humans who have no choice but to make do with their simple, superficial body and look. You are what you look and you cannot change your looks, not really at least, not at will, on a whim. Then you have the doppelgangers, or Wesen, who are normal humans when they are not stressed or put under duress, and animals otherwise. This animal nature varies from one individual to the next, and the various Wesen subspecies are just plain animals, wolves hunt sheep, dragons spit flames and fire and grill the other subspecies, etc. Very funny. The Grimms are beyond since they are humans and cannot change their looks, except with some black, white, red, or green magic, but they have the ability to see the animal nature of the Wesen, this animal species that is divided into many subspecies, when these Wesen get slightly stressed, whereas the humans cannot see them then, except if they are attacked by these Wesen. Simple, isn’t it? And of course, the staff was stolen by some satanic, devilish, Luciferian monster who cannot really do what it wants because a slither of wood has been retained by seven Grimms who were Templar Knights in the Crusades in the 13th century, of course 13th. Our local modern and living Grimm, Nick, has managed to find and recuperate this slither of wood and the Monster who stole the staff comes after Nick and others to recapture the slither. Simple, Doctor Watson, isn’t it? But no Sherlock will be necessary. Nick will do it by killing everyone around him in a nightmare that will enable him to recuperate the staff, make it whole with the slither and finally destroy the monster. Ash to ash, dust to dust, dirt to dirt, earth to earth. Another of the dual commandments from the Old Testament like an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a magic ball for a witchy ball, and many other things enumerated, one for one. And when he wakes up from this nightmare everyone has been resuscitated, and they get ready for business as usual At times slightly childish, but always entertaining. But it’s good when you reach the end and you can leave these people and let them have their happy life with plenty of all sorts of hybrid or mongrel children.

2. GRIMM – THE COMPLETE
SERIES – 2011-2017
GRIMM is a long series with some kind of unity in the existence of Wesen among us, a
different species that has the particularity for every individual to be from a subspecies that
identifies and can transform under stress into one particular animal, though many if not
most or all of them are crazy mixtures of various animals with the most exotic names you
can imagine like, and most of them are in German, Blutbad which only means Bloodbath.
Some of these animals are, in fact, predators, in fact, many of them are, but most are
predators from one subspecies to another subspecies within the Wesen species. Wesen
only means “be” or “being” in German. So, they are not HUMAN Beings, despite their
human look before turning Wesen, or woging when they turn into plain BEINGS, nothing
but animals then.
A GRIMM is a third species within the Human community. They have the power to see
these Wesen whereas normal human beings do not have that power, except when the
Wesen decide to be seen and attack the human beings present in front of them. Only the
prey can see the transformation. A GRIMM has one more characteristic: he normally
cannot be killed by these Wesen, but he or she can be severely maimed or mutilated, etc.
He may die of it, but he is not killed by the Wesen predator.
Then magic is everywhere and all the time? That’s the funniest part, because magic,
white, black, or red, is nothing but funny even if it is vicious at times and just malevolent.

3. The plotting background is not the same in the whole series. At first, there is some
kind of royal lineage that is trying to control the world without being in power really. A
clandestine underground conspirational secret society with an emperor or some kind of
sovereign king will eventually destroy themselves by some kind of implosion among
several ambitious members who have to eliminate others to control the whole mess. Then
we move to a Black Claw International secret terroristic society that only tries to get the
upper hand over the whole world. They use the Wesen, as their rank-and-file supporters,
and cannon fodder. There too, sooner or later it fails because the humans in the Earth
community realize they are menaced, and they decide to fight. The strategy is simple:
divide the Wesen. Those who want to go wild and enter a civil war to seize power – for
WHOM by the way? – and these are a minority, and on the other hand, those who want to
enjoy the freedom, protection, and wealth of humans by living in peace with them.
Eventually, the peaceful Wesen allied with the non-Wesen humans win.
But then, in the last season, a new danger appears, a super duper nuper monster who
wants to capture what the Grimms who are central in the series, particularly NICK, have
found in the Schwartzwald in Germany, some secret treasure buried under a chapel
somewhere lost in the forest by the Templars of the Crusades who capture a special
“weapon” in Constantinople or around in the 13th century. They were seven Grimm
Templar Knights, all of them Grimms and the real source of the modern Grimms. Don’t ask
how these seven Grimms appeared and where they were coming from. Don’t waste your
time on such a question. The darkest and most vicious devil you can imagine has the main
body of the staff that is the treasure at stake, and Nick and his friend Monroe have brought
back from Germany a slither of this staff and the quest of the devilish being is to capture
this slither to make his staff full. Nick, with his mother, another Grimm, and an aunt, a third
Grimm, the last two dead and hence resuscitated as spirits, plus a few more summoned by
Nick’s mother attack this monster and capture the staff. Then the slither gets back in its
proper place. The staff is whole but in the hands of Nick, and thus, the monster dies, turns
into ashes, back to the dust and dirt of the soil. And then finally they can live happily and
fertile ever after. Monroe and his wife Rosalee can finally get their triplets to life, let’s hope
for an easy delivery
The series is fun, but it maybe does not have all the depth it could have. But it is
entertaining and like a merry-go-round, it always comes back to the starting point which is
by principle the happy living of the good ones. There are monsters among us, but we can
easily ignore them, and that generally destroys them.
Enjoy the story, the tale, the fairy tale, and even the mythical lucubration, a direct
cousin of ranting and a direct nephew or niece of raving.

5. VERSION FRANÇAISE
GRIMM est une longue série avec une sorte d'unité dans l'existence des Wesen parmi
nous, une espèce différente qui a la particularité que chaque individu appartient à une
sous-espèce qui s'identifie 0 et peut se transformer sous l'effet du stress en un animal
particulier, bien que plusieurs sinon la plupart ou tous sont des mélanges fous de divers
animaux avec les noms les plus exotiques que vous puissiez imaginer, et la plupart de ces
noms sont allemands, comme Blutbad qui signifie seulement Blood bath. Certains de ces
animaux sont, en fait, des prédateurs, en fait, beaucoup d'entre eux le sont, mais la
plupart sont des prédateurs d'une sous-espèce à une autre sous-espèce au sein de
l'espèce Wesen. Wesen signifie seulement « être » en allemand. Ainsi, ils ne sont pas des
êtres HUMAINS, malgré leur apparence humaine avant de se transformer en Wesen, ou
« woging » lorsqu'ils se transforment en ÊTRES ordinaires, rien que des animaux alors.
Un GRIMM est une troisième espèce au sein de la communauté humaine. Ils ont le
pouvoir de voir ces Wesen alors que les êtres humains normaux n'ont pas ce pouvoir, sauf
lorsque les Wesen décident de se faire voir et d'attaquer les êtres humains présents
devant eux. Seule la proie peut voir la transformation. Un GRIMM a une caractéristique
supplémentaire : il ne peut normalement pas être tué par ces Wesen, mais il peut être
gravement mutilé ou mutilé, etc. Il peut en mourir, mais il n'est pas tué par le prédateur
Wesen.
Alors la magie est partout et tout le temps ? C’est la partie la plus drôle, car la magie,
blanche, noire ou rouge, n’est que drôle même si elle est parfois vicieuse et simplement
malveillante.
Le contexte de l'intrigue n'est pas le même dans toute la série. Au début, il existe une
sorte de lignée royale qui tente de contrôler le monde sans être réellement au pouvoir.
Une société secrète de conspiration clandestine et souterraine avec un empereur ou une
sorte de roi souverain finira par se détruire par une sorte d'implosion parmi plusieurs

6. membres ambitieux qui doivent en éliminer d'autres pour contrôler tout le désordre.
Ensuite, nous passons à une société terroriste secrète, la Black Claw ou la Griffe Noire
Internationale qui essaie seulement de prendre le dessus sur le monde entier. Ils utilisent
les Wesen, comme piétaille de base, et comme chair à canon. Là aussi, tôt ou tard, cela
échoue parce que les humains de la communauté terrestre se rendent compte qu'ils sont
menacés et décident de se battre. La stratégie est simple : diviser les Wesen. Ceux qui
veulent se déchaîner et entrer dans une guerre civile pour prendre le pouvoir – pour QUI
d’ailleurs ? – et ceux-ci constituent une minorité, et d’un autre côté, ceux qui veulent jouir
de la liberté, de la protection et de la richesse des humains en vivant en paix avec eux.
Finalement, les Wesen pacifiques alliés aux humains non-Wesen gagnent.
Mais alors, dans la dernière saison, un nouveau danger apparaît, un monstre super
duper nuper qui veut capturer ce que les Grimms qui jouent un rôle central dans la série,
en particulier NICK, ont trouvé dans le Schwarzwald en Allemagne, un trésor secret enfoui
sous une chapelle. quelque part perdu dans la forêt par les Templiers des Croisades qui
ont capturé une « arme » spéciale à Constantinople ou aux alentours au 13ème siècle. Il
s'agissait de sept chevaliers templiers, tous Grimms, et la véritable source des Grimms
modernes. Ne demandez pas comment sont apparus ces sept Grimm et d’où ils venaient.
Ne perdez pas votre temps sur une telle question. Le diable le plus sombre et le plus
vicieux que vous puissiez imaginer a le corps principal du bâton qui est le trésor en jeu, et
Nick et son ami Monroe ont ramené d'Allemagne un longue écharde de ce bâton et la
quête de l'être diabolique est de capturer cette écharde et la faire se glisser dans la
dépression du bâton pour parachever son bâton. Nick, avec sa mère, une autre Grimm, et
une tante, une troisième Grimm, les deux dernières mortes et donc ressuscités en tant
qu'esprits, plus quelques autres invoqués par la mère de Nick, attaquent ce monstre et
capturent le bâton. Ensuite, l’écharde revient à sa place. Le bâton est complet et entier
mais entre les mains de Nick, et ainsi, le monstre meurt, se transforme en cendres,
rejoignant la poussière et la terre dans le sol. Et puis enfin, ils pourront vivre heureux et
fertiles pour toujours. Monroe et sa femme Rosalee peuvent enfin donner vie à leurs
triplés, espérons un accouchement facile
La série est amusante, mais elle n’a peut-être pas toute la profondeur qu’elle pourrait
avoir. Mais c'est divertissant et comme un manège, on revient toujours au point de départ
qui est par principe le bonheur des bons. Il y a des monstres parmi nous, mais nous
pouvons facilement les ignorer, et cela les détruit, en général.
