1. ANGES

2. Les anges sont des êtres spirituels créés par Dieu par
un libre décision de sa divine Volonté. Ce sont des
êtres immortels dotés d'intelligence et de volonté.

3. En raison de leur nature spirituelle, les anges
ne peuvent être vu ou saisi par les sens. Sur
quelques des occasions très spéciales, avec
l'intervention de Dieu, ils ont été vus et
entendus matériellement. La réaction des
gens à les voir ou à les entendre a été une
réaction d'étonnement et de respect.
Exemple, les prophètes Daniel et Zacharie.

4. Au IVe siècle,
l'art religieux
représentait
des anges
sous la forme
d'une figure
humaine.

5. Au 5ème siècle, des ailes ont été ajoutées, comme symbole de
leur disponibilité à accomplir la Volonté divine et à se
déplacer d'un endroit à un autre sans la moindre difficulté.

6. L'existence d'êtres spirituels et désincarnés que la Sainte Écriture
appelle habituellement « anges » est une vérité de foi. Le témoignage
de l'Écriture est aussi clair que l'unanimité de la Tradition. CCC328

7. Saint Augustin dit : "'Ange' est le nom de leur office, pas de leur nature. Si vous
cherchez le nom de leur nature, c'est "esprit" ; si vous cherchez le nom de leur office,
c'est 'ange ': de ce qu'ils sont, 'esprit', - de ce qu'ils font, 'ange'. ”CCC329

8. Ces esprits saints de la patrie céleste sont toujours des esprits,
mais ils ne peuvent pas toujours être appelés anges, car ils ne
le sont que lorsqu'ils exercent leur fonction de messagers.

9. Avec tout leur être, les anges sont des serviteurs et des messagers de Dieu.
Parce qu'ils "voient toujours le visage de mon Père qui est aux cieux" ce
sont "les puissants qui font sa parole, écoutant la voix de sa parole".

10. Ils sont constamment en présence de Dieu, attentifs
à ses ordres, prier, adorer, regarder, chanter
et louant Dieu et proclamant ses perfections.

11. En tant que créatures purement spirituelles, les anges ont de
l'intelligence et de la volonté : ce sont des créatures personnelles et
immortelles, surpassant en perfection toutes les créatures visibles,
comme en témoigne la splendeur de leur gloire. CCC330

12. Ils appartiennent au Christ parce qu'ils ont été créés par et pour lui : « car en lui toutes choses ont
été créées dans le ciel et sur la terre, visibles et invisibles, qu'il s'agisse de trônes ou de dominations
ou de principautés ou d'autorités - toutes choses ont été créées par lui et pour lui. " CCC331

13. Les anges sont présents depuis la création et tout au long de
l'histoire du salut, annonçant ce salut de loin ou de près et
servant l'accomplissement du dessein divin : CEC332

14. Dans la Bible, nous trouvons
certaines raisons pour lesquelles
les anges sont décrits comme des
êtres brillants, d'apparence
humaine et ailés. Par exemple,
le prophète Daniel écrit qu'un
"être qui semblait mâle" - il
voulait dire l'archange Gabriel -
volant rapidement, vint à lui
(Daniel 8, 15-16 ; 9,21)

23. Les anges renforcent notre Seigneur
dans son agonie dans le jardin

24. ce sont les anges qui "évangélisent" en proclamant la Bonne
Nouvelle de l'Incarnation et de la Résurrection du Christ.

with all kindness, after our death, to the throne of God for our definitive encounter with Him.
This will be the last service they give us but the most important.

31. "Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading
him to life." Already here on earth the Christian life shares by faith in
the blessed company of angels and men united in God. CCC336
