(Blogger, MySpace, Wikipedia, etc.)
3- Permettre à chacun d’organiser l’ensemble des documents (média web total)
Spectateur, créateur et... organisateur.

creation of compelling content. I believe that it is the discovery and consumption of compelling content that
helps individuals shift from consumption to assume a contributing role of curator…a meaningful step before
creator. Curation drives a significant volume of Tweets and it is also curation that balances the art and science
of engagement between creation and conversation.»

24. Deux types de curateurs:
1) le curateur-agrégateur
2) le curateur-agrégateur/créateur
(celui qui crée le plus de valeur)
25. Curation, médias et journalisme
« They're both perfectly valid and useful activities but they perform different roles:
curation compiles and collates; journalism adds a layer of narrative, context and analysis.
However, I don't want to get into a semantic debate about definitions, rather to argue that
this discussion missed a bigger point: that journalism, be it social media, citizen or
mainstream, is changing as a result of social media.
This is what I argued in articulating my theory of the 'line of verification': where previously
mainstream media would wait until they had two confirmed sources before reporting an
event, now that process of 'verification' - thanks to social media - is taking place in the
open.»

30. Incorporating a point of view can’t be avoided. In most cases this point of view will be analytical,
educational, structuring. It’s about giving big pictures rather than going into details, frame the
information rather than deepening it.
Only a year ago Techdirt talked (citing other sources) of a newsroom that is up to date consisting of
three skills:
• Reporters — who go out and do first person reporting — creating original stories, not just
reposting rewritten wire copy.
• Columnists — who “start conversations and give stories another perspective.”
• Curators — who “‘cover’ the news by sorting, verifying and editing live everything good existing
on the web and in the media. They make link journalism, they make the news more accessible.”
Will this newsroom see his fate in an editorial room of a newspaper agency? Or, rather, in the vastness
of the internet?

32. "Journalists need to be data-savvy. It used to be that you would
get stories by chatting to people in bars, and it still might be that
you'll do it that way some times.
"But now it's also going to be about poring over data and
equipping yourself with the tools to analyse it and picking out
what's interesting. And keeping it in perspective, helping people
out by really seeing where it all fits together, and what's going on
in the country."

33. La curation en entreprise
pour les communications externes et internes

«On any given workday, we typically publish 3-5 external stories, and we exercise our own
judgment and experience to decide what is relevant (based on our understanding of the key issues
our company faces, and our strategic direction).
We have our own, home-grown news publishing system that we use for both these re-published
external stories and any internally-authored stories. Rarely do we publish more than 5 external
stories a day, since that tends to exceed the capacity of our employees to read them all. Of course,
we enable employees to comment on all the external stories, too.»
