This document provides an overview of indirect ophthalmoscopy. It describes how indirect ophthalmoscopy works by using a strong convex lens to make the eye highly myopic and form a real, inverted image of the fundus. The key components of an indirect ophthalmoscope include binocular viewing systems and adjustable lighting. Indirect ophthalmoscopy allows examination of the posterior segment up to the ora serrata and provides a larger field of view compared to direct ophthalmoscopy. While it provides less magnification, indirect ophthalmoscopy is useful for examining patients with hazy media and during retinal surgery.
This document discusses the history and principles of gonioscopy, a technique used to examine the iridocorneal angle of the eye. It describes the development of direct and indirect goniolens contact lenses used to visualize the angle. Various gonioprism designs are outlined, along with the advantages and disadvantages of direct versus indirect techniques. Normal angle structures are defined, as are manipulative gonioscopy maneuvers like indentation. Clinical applications for diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma are provided. Limitations and contraindications of gonioscopy are also noted.

4. INTRODUCTION
6. FREQUENCE EPIDEMIOLOGIUE
1 à 5 / 1000
Fréquence était sous estimé
Souvent bilatéral
Prédomine chez les femmes
7. FACTEURS DE RISQUE
Terrain d’atopie ( Allergie ) :
Conjonctivite allergique +++
Traumatismes : micro traumatismes , à répétition (
frottement )
Association des maladies du tissu conjonctif
( stroma ): Marfan , Crouzon , Trisomie 21
8. SIGNES CLINIQUES
1- SIGNES FONCTIONNELS
De découverte fortuite avant chirurgie réfractive
Impression de brouillard visuel
Photophobie
Eblouissement

Signes des complications
18. Classification
Stade I : Baisse d’acuité visuelle avec astigmatisme.
55. Conclusion
