I’m not there to teach you a
lesson about « Strategy
Implementation »
I’m just there to share
inspirations /learnings from
a real story, for instance
a strategic transition
to agility..
4. P.4
« Once upon a time, in a significative global
investment bank, projects were not doing very
well. Clients turn greedy, the IT Staff was not
feeling ok too.
Then embracing agility became the option to
recover, rebuild the trust, and even the delight
of clients & staff.
We started mid 2011, it became STRATEGIC,
and it is still not over. It might be never over, as
we are now in a continuous improvement
loop ».

One of the most inspiring factor i used :
ADKAR. I’ve been attracted by the « D » :
Desire, allowing us to welcome our
emotions, and not be driven only by
Thinking.
We were escaping DESCARTES !!!
9. #04 – WELCOME COMPLEXITY
DON’T DO IT ALONE GUILDE + HOST LEADERSHIP
9
Mark McKergow proposes that hosts (and leaders):
Create great spaces (physical and psychological) – and are
active in them
Use the ‘soft power’ of invitation (rather than the ‘hard
power’ of coercion)
Have ‘Response-ability’ (Balancing defining the event
AND responding to what happens)
Use Co-participation (Balancing providing for everyone
AND joining in alongside everyone else)
Ensure judicious Gate-opening (Balancing defending
boundaries AND making new connections)
Spend time front stage, on the balcony (taking an
overview) and back stage (developing their capabilities)
